Lead Teacher

I teach the Lower Elementary CI Classroom at Griffin Elementary! My love of the students helps me keep learning expectations high, while still having fun and building relationships within our classroom. It is hard for me to turn off my teacher mindset, but in my “spare time,” I enjoy horseback riding with my husband Michael, crafting, boating with friends, and just spending time with my horses (Xanadu, Zulu, Cruzer, Tyke) and dogs (Daizy May, Dozer).

I love working in our classroom because I find little people totally amazing and love seeing the world through their eyes and words! My family includes; my husband Ted, my son Josh and his wife Annika, my daughter Kim and her son Micah, and my son Scott. When I am not at school, I like to go camping, read, spend time outside, and play with my grandson, Micah!

My husband and I are now "empty nester's", Grandpa Dan and Grandma Ruth! We have 3 amazing children and 4 perfect grandchildren!! My interests and hobbies are traveling, reading, knitting, and cooking… NOT baking!!
